I met Bernell through the Bates Trust, he was such a brilliant thinker and such an asset to the Trust. He would ask the obvious questions that no one else would have thought about and I would always wish I had asked. He hadn't been to the last few meetings and I was looking forward to seeing him at the beginning of December. I didn't know Bernell very well having only met at our bi annual meetings, but despite this I will miss him. He spoke very highly of his family and was so proud of his children.
