I never met Burnell but after MAD I sent him a message via Facebook to congratulate him on what was a quite extra-ordinary presentation and performance for anybody, let alone for somebody in their first time on the big stage. I know he had hundreds of similar messages but he took the time and trouble to send a personal response which read: - "Big thanks Simon, many people have received the message, that makes all my prep worthwhile, be successful, Bernell" An extra-ordinary man, taken from us so prematurely and so tragically.
